Ayoub Ait Lahcen is a Full Professor at ENSA Kénitra, a Moroccan engineering school within Ibn Tofail University.
He has held significant research responsibilities, including serving as Coordinator of the national research project "Smart Learning: Adaptive Learning through Recommendation Systems", Deputy Director of the Engineering Sciences Laboratory (ENSAK) for the 2020/2025 accreditation, and Head of the "Computer Science, Intelligent Systems, and Applications" Research Team during 2020/2021.
On the pedagogical front, he has served as the Coordinator of the Specialized Master's Degree in Big Data and Business Intelligence at ENSA Kénitra since 2019.
He also contributes as an expert evaluator for the National Agency for Evaluation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Scientific Research (ANEAQ) since 2021 and as an elected member of the local board of the National Union of Higher Education (SNESup) for the 2021/2025 term.
His international experience includes being awarded a Swiss Excellence Research Scholarship for a postdoctoral research position at the Software Engineering Group of the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He earned his Ph.D. under a joint supervision agreement between Nice Sophia Antipolis University (30 months at the INRIA Sophia Antipolis Research Center) and Mohammed V Agdal University (LRIT laboratory).
His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing, and Software Development. He is the recipient of two "Best Paper Award" honors. He was a key contributor for three years to the French research project STAMP, a collaboration with CIRAD and Paris-Est University, funded in part by the ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche). His academic journey was also supported by a Moroccan Research Excellence Scholarship for his Ph.D. and a merit scholarship for his Master's in Computer Science and Telecommunications.
